RBA Guiding Principles

As part of the General Assembly’s adherence to Results-Based Accountability (RBA) standards, PCSW focuses its efforts on three “quality of life” desired results, which are:

  • All Connecticut women are economically self-sufficient;
  • All Connecticut women have optimal health and wellness throughout the lifespan; and
  • All Connecticut women are free from sex discrimination in all aspect of their lives.

In its work, PCSW strives to achieve measurable results that are both quantitative and qualitative; and as such, the agency’s research, advocacy, assessment of State policies and procedures, information and referral services, public education, outreach, partnership-building, leadership development and training all contribute to the RBA concept of “turning the curve” on the issues that affect women throughout their lifespan.
